we took a quick trip to utah last year for i can't remember what reason.  posting retroactively these two pics of our hogle zoo trip, and hazel's first time skiing.

we had a blast. i am so proud of her!  she was a little afraid skiing by herself so we just did the pizza wedge together all the way down the hills

oh, my hazelnut.  i adore you so much my heart could just burst.  you are weird, hilarious, and drive me crazy sometimes, but you make me so so happy.  i expect too much of you sometimes, (first child probs), but you rise to the occasion.  i'm so proud of you, girl.

we recently had some fun visitors!

when your husband texts you, "hey, i got free tickets to the killers concert; would you like to go?"

you drop EVERYTHING, scramble for a babysitter, and MAKE IT HAPPEN

because, it's THE KILLERS.  and goodness, they were great.  i've definitely been to better concerts (aka arcade fire...) but they put on a fantastic show and i got to see brandon flowers in a gold leather suit, so....
