life lately.

our announcement.

for those who won't be getting one in the mail, here's hazel's birth announcement.

sushi.

i've been craving raw fish since pretty much day one of pregnancy.  i know, weird.  but i made john promise that once that baby was out of me, we would get sushi to celebrate.  yesterday he made good on that promise.  hazel came with us, obvi.  and so did ryan and janessa.  the long anticipation made the food even better!

our first week.

the past week has been a haze of little to no sleep, pain, worry, exhaustion, and sheer happiness.  we already love our little girl so much, and i'm pretty sure we would do just about anything for her.  she is so innocent and perfect, and i still am so grateful that heavenly father would trust us with one of his precious children to love and care for.  this first week of being a mother might very well have been the hardest week of my life - but i wouldn't trade it for anything!  here are some pics of our first few days together as a family:

this wonderful blessing came into our lives on march 1st, 2013 @ 5:52am.  

she is the most amazing thing i have ever laid eyes on....

she has stolen our hearts so completely already.

she was 8 pounds 3 ounces of sheer awesomeness.

and we are thrilled to be her parents.
